Valta has analyzed the 2024/2025 fashion collections to keep you up to date with upcoming trends.

1. Fur coats 

 A repeated appearance of fur coats at the Fall-Winter 2024/2025 fashion shows reassured us that they will be the main item of the upcoming season. Some fashion enthusiasts already sensed this trend in the 2023/2024 period and became pioneers of its comeback. It became noticeable that fashion designers will focus on creating a "mob wife" aesthetic, emphasising a tender, passionate, dark, and mysterious persona that will inspire our fashion preferences. Brands such as Miu Miu, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce&Gabbana, and Tom Ford have already showcased fur coats and jackets in different colours on fashion runways for both women's and men's collections. Therefore, Valta recommends finding a good fur coat, preferably faux, for fall and winter 2024/2025.

2. Bag-bracelet 

Comfort and chic are being promoted by fashion brands through bags-bracelets. These bags personify classic yet contemporary designs with interesting shapes and details that will become a distinct feature of your outfit. Brands like Alaia, Valentino, Chloé, Carolina Herrera, Sacai and others have unveiled such beautiful bags in unique variations and colours for their Fall-Winter 2024/2025 collections. So, you must invest in such a timeless piece for any occasion. 

3. Chanel “Camera bags”

In the Spring-Summer 2024 collection of Chanel, Valta particularly noticed a camera bag. It is an adorable, modern yet sophisticated piece that will be a great addition or make a full statement in your outfit. This bag exudes charm and functionality and is available in white, black, beige, and burgundy colours with a small mirror instead of a camera lens. Small, chic, and fun, it is an absolute must-have for the upcoming Spring-Summer season.

4. Fluffy shoes 

Throughout FW2024, fluffy shoes were presented by Acne Studios, Ferragamo, David Koma, Versace, and others. While these shoes may not be a go-to option for work or university, they are set to be a significant part of street fashion in the 2024/ 2025 season. Paired with long coats, short skirts, long pants, or just tights, fluffy and furry shoes seem quite easy to style…

5. Gucci high-platform loafers 

 Runway models and exclusive guests of the Gucci Spring-Summer 2024 fashion show have been seen wearing eccentric platform loafers. House of Gucci, under the direction of Sabato de Sarno, presented loafers with a modification of a high platform in black, white, trendy burgundy, and light green colours, still preserving the original design. Fashion critics have already labelled them "ugly shoes", but such models often become popular among the public. So, it is up to you to decide whether you love or hate them, but there is no way you will remain indifferent. 

6. Leopard prints

Leopard print has always been around, with fashion houses “Versace” and “Dolce&Gabbana” being particularly notable for its utilisation in the 90s. The Summer and Spring seasons will be rich in outfits containing either elements or total leopard print, with the potential to persist into the Fall and Winter 2024/2025 seasons. Valta describes this trend as funky, exciting, and sometimes risky. Leopard dresses, tops, pants, and accessories are now available in both mass-market and luxurious fashion brands. 7. Big gloves 

Big gloves are another item Valta has noted from the Fall-Winter 2024/25 collections. High fashion brands like Miu Miu, Balenciaga, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Acne Studios, among others, seem to have drawn inspiration from gardening or hunting to bring this trend to our wardrobes. "The bigger and wider the gloves, the better and more glamorous you look" is likely to be the main Fall-Winter 2024/2025 fashion statement.

8. Double/Multiple belts 

Lastly, having just one belt in your outfit is considered boring by fashion houses, so they propose multiple belts. It could be a design detail on your top or shirt, or a double belt as a full piece on your jeans, pants, or skirts. Even accessories like bags or glasses can feature this trend. Schiaparelli, Helmut Lang, Miu Miu, and Michael Kors have been notable for using this technique in their collections, not only in street style but also in a couture manner.
